I already have a daughter named Chloe and I thought those names matched well. My husband thinks the name is gay.

I love the name Milo (and I don't think that names have a sexual orientation)! I think it sounds good with Chloe, too.

However, I do think that you and your husband should agree on a name. Here are a few ideas that seem to go well with Chloe:

Jonas or Jonah
Luka or Lucas
Gavin
Owen
Levi
Miles
Mason
Max
Silas
Oliver
Liam
Sawyer

Good luck!

Milo is a good name. A lot of people in Australia and New Zealand (and other countries) think favorably of it because it is the most popular brand of chocolate drink. It's powder you put in your milk and everyone likes it.

However, as good as the name is, don't call your son Milo. It's far more important that you and your husband agree on a name. Each of you could make up a list independently, then see if there are any matches on the two lists.

Another good way to pick a name you both agree on is to think of some relative, movie star, singer, etc that you both admire and have a good vibe about. Select that name.

All kinds of names go good together, so don't make a match with Chloe your criteria. Pick a name you both like-- that's the most important thing.

your husband sounds like an immature loser. i think the problem isn't what you should name your son; it is how fast you can leave your gaylord husband. how on earth can he think milo is gay? Thats an ADORABLE name! and I think anyone could agree with me on that. Gay?! he says it's gay. I truly think that he is gay or just 12 years old and replies to everything with a, "That's GAY!"

your husband is teaching your young daughter Chloe how to be an genuine @sshole! How on earth could you be so blind as to marry that man? Most men would say "i don't like that name honey." He says, "That's gay!" I just can't get over that. I sure hope your daughter wasn't around!

Either break up with the hubby that's obviously homophobic or just name your baby Milo anyway.
I LOVE THE NAME MILO, by the way! =]

all my best,
brittney xoxox

I've never heard of the drink with the same name, but I really like Milo. So I say go for it. But if it is really bothering you that his name is the same as the drink, what about Miles? It's similar enough, yet not exactly the same, and still relatively uncommon (well where I live it is). If you don't like Miles what about: Milen Miller Milad Milan Milek Mills Miln Milton Good luck!

Hi, I am in Australia and Milo is a drink here, and in every house!! we don't name anyone Milo, well, perhaps animals :)
To me it would be very strange!!

Why not go for Miles and call him 'milo' for nick name, or use it as the middle name.

Husbands get to help choose the name so listen to him too, life is too short to argue too much.

Good Luck!!!

i actually like Milo more than chloe(i know they are for different sexes, im just talking about them as names in general). i dont think milo is "gay", i would actually associate it with the smooth talker who gets all the girls. another alternative if he absolutely hates milo, would be Miles which is also a nice name.

I have to agree with your husband, Milo reminds me of the movie "Milo and Otis" the cat. Your son's name doesn't have to "go" with your daughter's, just find a name that you like that represents him and his individuality.

With a pretty girl's name like Chloe, you need a really strong boys name. Maybe something Anglo or Hebrew in origin?? Don't know if Milo does it for me.... hope that helps. ; )

I was never a fan of Milo, but I guess I can see the appeal. Oddly enough, I do like Miles alot. I am not a big fan of names ending in the "o" sound.

I think Milo is an adorable name. What's the middle name going to be?
And try to persuade him that it's not a gay name.
If not, you can always get a goldfish and name it milo? He can't stop you with that! Hehe :)
