I need big help!

Go into your community and identify two or more examples of stratification.

Describe the examples and use your "sociological imagination" to explain how and why they exist, as well as how they impact the members of the community.

Can you please suggest some answers or examples in your community? I just need some ideas :)

in my community the haves and have-nots are quite distinct. they patronize diff places and do diff things and live in diff neighborhoods. even in the supermarket, they buy diff things. the lower socio-economic grp tend to eat more fast food types - crackers, buritos whereas the other grp wld patronize the upmarket type of restaurants.
so its quite dileanated according to income and social grouping. its obvious that community is divided along such lines. each grp doesnt want to encroach into the other and feel alienated / out-of-tortoise-shell feeling. so its familiar grounds tt they tread.

I assume this is a school assignment.
Go to several local restaurants and observe how different economic classes, different races, ethnic, or groups stratified by age associate.
Write up your observations, especially if the groups interface.
Describe their modes of interaction.
Describe how they separate themselves. Do they even go to the same restaurants? If you can go to places with music and/or serve alcohol? How does that influence their activities?
Are they rude to each other?
If you take the time to do the homework, it could be quite comprehensive.
