its storming like crazy here, some people love storms. i like them as long as they dont do a lot of damage

It's storming here too....I love thunderstorms, as long as they don't hurt anyone.

I think storms are great to watch, nothing like a good thunderstorm from the window or sometimes on the porch. They are the perfect soundtrack for reading a scary book or watching a scary movie...esp if the power goes out and your mind starts playing tricks on you...hahaha!
Sometimes it takes things like this to get us thinking differently, even if it isn't the aftermath of a huge storm...sometimes a big blizzard, a power outage, a flash flood, etc...these can keep us home, make us drag out our flashlights and candles, and enjoy a lower tech way of life for a bit. The machines don't work so we can't be distracted from each other, and it helps us connect with family or roommates over a card game or simple conversation or enjoy an acoustic instrument. Or maybe we just sleep in a little longer or read a good book, or do something crafty or play with Legos or do storytellng with the kids. My fav times like this last just long enough for all the batteries to go dead and you get stuck without your fav distractions for a bit. You find out what you're made of and you are forced to find something else to do.
But like everything else in nature, you have to be sensible. I don't go chasing tornadoes, etc. You have to respect when things are safe and when they are not and keep yourself safe. And I'm not talking about weather related problems like elderly people losing their heat or air conditioning, or having to do without safe drinking water...

I love them. I like watching storms when I'm out in the middle of nowhere and there's no one around, because then I start challenging the storm: "IS THAT ALL YOU'VE GOT?!"

It's like hell when I'm passing through a T-storm on an interstate, but I usually enjoy watching them inside of my house...

OHH i LOVE storms,any kind of storm.My favorites are tornados.My husband and i would love to chase them when the kids are older.I sleep great when it's storming outside! Id trade places with you.Not storming here.

I don't mind storms...it's the damage they cause I don't care for. I feel better knowing that I have a emergency kit!

I absolutely love storms as long as I'm inside. I think they're exciting.
