I contact them frequently and make sure they are OK and go see them for support. I try to get them to go out with me and eat a bite. Maybe they will talk about their concerns and we can come up with a game plan to make things better for them. I like to take a funny card that I draw myself and something goofy for a gift. Some people just need another person to lean on a little while so I make time available for them. Best of luck to you and that someone!!!

It depends on why they are hurting, if it's emotional pain, I'm there to listen and when the time is right I usually say or do something so silly they have to laugh. If it's physical pain, then I'll patch them up.

I presume you talk about "is hurting you".
this is very painful. but i guess this is life about. even if you see things/facts/acts different the moment you are in love...you can forgive way more....but what remains afterwards is still "hurt" people may change, even if this is quite difficult to accept, they really do.

I'd invite them over to blow bubbles, bring out the BIG box of crayola crayons and my favorite coloring books, just for them!!! Most of all, I'd be there to listen. I'd walk side by side with them, until the worst was over.

You let them know your there for them. They may want to talk or hang out or do things to take their mind off the problem. You be their friend.

Just be there. You can make them laugh but that only lasts for the moment. Just really be there to let them cry get angry or whatever.

I hug them...and cry with them.
Until we both stop crying.
Then I try and listen if
they want to talk.
Sometimes, when they
don't want to talk I just
stay there with them...
so they know that I care.
