Dandelion root is a natural diuretic. It will get rid of the excess water while retaining the potassium. And as a fellow thyroid sufferer, I can tell you it's the iodine that you benefit from. Eating dried seaweed is a much healthier way to get what you need.

Hi there, first off, what kind of excess body fluids? Do you mean just monthly weight gain from a period? or do you mean alot of fluids in various spots like a leg, arm? First you need to find out why you're storing fluids if it's not a monthly period kind of thing. You probably should go to a doctor and be checked out with blood work and tests. I say that because diuretics are harmful if you have lymphedema. There are natural diuretics but again you need to talk to a doctor so you don't take them and then find out it caused trouble.

Try kelp instead, you can sprinkle kelp flakes on your food, or take it in pill form. Kelp is rich in iodine, and is healthier than adding iodized salt to everything you eat.
Either way the above answer is correct, drinking enough water will stop the bloating.

you need seeweed, kelp. it is packed with iodine, iodine being one of its main constituents. it sounds like you may have a goiter (hypothyroidism).
its probably best to establish what caused the iodine deficiency in the first place (or if it was just simply due to lack of) or if its a reduced ability to absorb the nutrient.
it looks like you may benefit in taking dandelion root/leaf tea its a great alternative to coffee. its used for water retention and is a great diuretic.
if you wish to get some kelp or seaweed (the species used in western herbal medicine) just contact me via email and ill give you some details.
