There is radon in all parts of the world, however different levels depending on the place inwhich you live. in my area New Jersey there are higher levels of it, hence the fact we are the cancer capital in the country. We have a lot of uranium decay (which makes radon/ radium)

It all depends on the subsurface environment. Radon occurs when you have natural uranium decay typically where it is more concentrated such as in granite rocks and black shales. You could say that it is present wherever you have these types of rocks however some locations will naturally have higher levels, all depending on how abundant uranium is within the rock units.
