Yes to all 5
1. McGriff was a dominating player for several years. Of this list he's least likely to make it though.
2. Bagwell was a great combination of power and average and his career numbers are enough to get him in.
3. Thomas was the player of the 90's with Griffey Jr. and will be a 1st ballot HOFer.
4. Ramirez is the mark of consistency for a hitter, high average, high homerun and RBI totals every year.
5. Hoffman is the best closer in the history of the game statistically.

Everyone but McGriff. Bagwell will probably get in.
But off Course Manny, Frank and Trevor. Manny will hit 500HR. I mean, they let in worst players. Frank is just a monster. He's in the top 10 in alot of stats and 500 HR isnt bad. Trevor is the Best closer ever....period. Currently he's way better that Rivera or any other Closer out there (500 SAVES!!!)
FAce it, 500 is the Magic number

Crime Dog. No, good but not great compared with contemporary 1B.
Bagwell. No, he won an MVP but he's not among the best in batting categories.
Frank Thomas. Yes. Griffey, Thomas and Bonds were the best hitters in the 90s
Manny. With a couple of 2 more good seasons he'll make it.
Trevor Hoffman. It will take him some time, no pure closer has made it on the first ballot.

1-3 NO
1. He was good but NOT one of the best ever.
2. He played in an era with a LOT of talented 1b (see above.)
3. Great hitter... but he spent WAY too much time as a DH.
4. Maybe... his iron cast glove and nickel plated head may keep him out.
5. HECK YES! All time saves leader. He just pitched for so long in obscurity.

Yes for Thomas,& Hoffman, but all the others deserve serious consideration. Someone put that Bagwell did it all for one team, but that`s not a consideration for the hall.

I am only going to pick one. That would be Manny Ramirez. He may be a cut up, but every year he comes thru'. He is a good player, and great in the clutch. All this from a die hard Yankee fan. I still admire good ball players, regardless of what team they are on.

Right now I say only Thomas. Hoffman is all time saves leader but that wasn't good enough to get Lee Smith or Jeff Reardon in and it won't get Hoffman in either. Bagwell may get in if Biggio does. Ramirez remains to be seen. McGriff won't make it.

how come everyone says 500 home runs isnt elite anymore, what is it, 22 people have hit the landmark, out of the thousands and thousands who have played the game, and everyone on the list should be in the hall except freddy
