I have the 4 port linksys router and when I put "192.168.1.1" in the URL i would put admin for name, and admin for password, but it wouldnt do anything
why?

Only put admin for the password leave the name blank, maybe that's what causing it.

If admin doesn't work reset the router with the button in the back and try again (hold the button down for a minute)

The password must have been changed. Look on the back of the router for a little button (you'll need a pin or something to push it in) thats labeld reset. Hold that in for 20 seconds or so and then try again.
