put live plants in for them, they love to rest on them
you can also add decorations, but nothing that has any sharp edges, otherwise they will tear their fins on it
hope that helps
Good luck

Tank seems passable. I agree on cycling the tank. That take 2 to 3 weeks. because of the fact it wasn't that long, you will desire to maintain video exhibit of the water readings, and do water ameliorations. whilst having a Betta on your tank, the less quantity of bubbles the better. they are used to being in ponds that have not got any water fluctuations. submit to in concepts, ADF have have been given to head to the exterior for air, and could could desire to now not be placed in very deep water. according to probability placed some form of rock for the frog so he have not got that far to circulate to the utmost. additionally, the Betta likes and demands to be in water no decrease than 80 2 stages. because of the fact the water gets much less heat the less he's going to do. they prefer warmth. it particularly is approximately it, like I reported tank seems properly. Have exciting with the tank.

If you are asking about decorations, then yes, please add some in for your bettas. You don't have to add gravel or any kind of substrate if you don't want to. That's totally up to you, your betta could care less. They do care about have things to rest on, swim through, and hide in, though. Make sure that any fake plants you use are silk or cloth and not plastic and if you use real plants, make sure to remove any dead or decaying leaves. Make sure that any decorations you add don't have any sharp edges that might rip your betta's delicate fins.

You can add fake (silk ) or real plants for them. You should fix the tank similar to what they live like in the wild. Like Evelyn said you can put just about anything in the tank as long as they are smooth so their fins won't get snagged on them.

i have owned bettas for over two years now... so this should help. make sure you treat the water with a primer or dechlorinator B4 you put them in, and dont use their yucky pet store water, or the water will turn GRAY. They need fish gravel(duh), AND if you put ( a ) colorful plant(s) in the tank, they wont be bored. they REALLY love it when you either put them next to each other or put a mirror next to the tank :) they love to flare. TIP: only feed your bettas pellets , NOT flakes. thank you, come again. (( The betta lover has spoken ))
