Måns Zelmerlöw sang the song Cara mia at Melodifestivalen, the Swedish contest before the Eurovision Song Contest. It is a new song and it has nothing to do with the song from the 50's / 60's.

You mean Annunzio Paolo Mantovani? That's QUITE Italian. But he just wrote the music for it, and didn't sing it.
The song was written in 1954 for American singer David Whitfield by his producer, Bunny Lewis, and by Mantovani, an orchestra leader of international fame.
In 1965, the most popular USA chart version was released by Jay and the Americans.
