but how do i know whether or not the person sent the item to me?

contact the seller and ask them to send you tracking info .

A common mistake people make is they "buy" the item but they don't pay for it. Be sure you pay for it or you will never receive it and a complaint will be lodged against you.

you should receive a receipt for your order and then a shipment status update/confirmation in the coming days.
