No. No decent conservative can support this guy. McCain has proven that he can sway in the wind as well as any liberal. He has no convictions and has not demonstrated a single conservative principle.
McCain's true colors show in:
1. Teaming with Feingold to restrict free speech in the Campaign Finance Reform Bill
2. Jumping all over the wrong side of immigration in supporting the amnesty bill. He clearly mistook the immigration issue as a racial issue thinking it would buy him votes. Absolutely no conviction.
3. Demonstrated a complete lack of support for the president and the war effort. Obviously thinking he would garner support amongst liberals while completely underestimating the conservative base. Another example of his lack of a position on important issues and willingness to say whatever he thinks will get him votes.

He is not electable in the primary because conservative see him for what he is; a self centered career politician more interested in his own personal power than what's in the best interest of the country. Might as well be a democrat.

Absolutely not. I am a Republican and have been a Republican all my life (which has been awhile). If McCain won the nomination I would have to vote for a third party candidate.

His support of amnesty for illegal aliens cinched it for me. I just watched him a few hours ago on C-Span speaking on this AGAIN (taped from Friday). He has no intention of giving up on this. I just plainly will NOT vote for this man under any conditions whatsoever (and I know many others that wont either).

He is an American hero, but he is a bad politician, and a awful Republican. He would make an even worse President.

No thank you.

McCain lost my support with the walk through Baghdad and trying to make us believe the illusion of peace and safety. In 2000 I thought he was really a straight-talker, but even if you support the war, lying to us about Iraq should be an automatic disqualification.

No, because he is a little too old. Now i know Reagan did not take office until he was like 69, but John McCain has road miles on him. I feel he's experienced enough, but his health, and age might be a concern.

John McCain is one the leading candidates for the Republican nomination for President.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know who will likely win.

Yes I support John McCain. He is my second choice candidate. One of the few that actually have the experience to be president.

Unfortunately, he is too old and too liberal to be President. He's not a independent thinker. either. He has no fresh ideas nor that old fire in his belly. Nice man, lovely person, but make no mistake about it, our next President much have all of the that and more to handle a changing world of dissidents and malcontents that want to bring America to its knee financially, physically and emotionally.

No. Plain and simple. His attempt to force amnesty down our throats and doing it without the support from his party.

Vote for a pro-amnesty moron? Not a chance! He's toast! (However, his chances are better than Ron Paul.)
