Let's try the "Brewster's Millions" question, since it has been a while since it was asked. If you had to spend five million dollars without giving it away (i.e. paying a supermodel a million dollars to spend the night with you), buying any possessions that you intend to keep, give away, or sell, and without investing any of it, how would you do it?

ok, i cant invest it, i cant buy anything that i intend to keep or give to anyone else and i cannot donate any of it correct? It seems like everyone has read this wrong. If those are, in fact, the terms, then i would take my family to disney (yes i know it's corny, but she's 4, gimme a break), i would like to say i would leave obscene tips for the waitstaff and maid services, but you say i cant give it away, so thats out. I would "rent" an amusement park for a day and invite random kids from all over the country to come. I would send hubby on a 3 day alaskan fishing vaca with his buddies and i would take one full no expense spared day at the spa with the deluxe package.

till I die. $5 million at 5% (ordinary to discover shares that pay that) is $250k. i will stay nicely on $50k a year, so if I spend yet another $100k i will commute a clever quantity, have a pair of latest toys, and additionally be beneficiant with buddies. That leaves some money for taxes and to enable the capital enhance in line with annum to help shop up with inflation.

If I can not find employment soon (1 yr and counting) I would love to take a cruise trip overseas or wait travel to different parts by car or bus or even train/locomotive across the USA and just tour. But Alas I am single.......

the only person who ever asked the q? once to me was some guy named steve and his answer was to hit Alaska, the Caribean and etc. and now I understand why...stress of the unemployment line is daunting.

In that case I would probably use it to help less fortunate people around me and use a portion of it to help find a cure for cancer.

Also I'd just have to have a huge party and invite everyone I know to be there and pay for them to be there.

Ultimately though, I'd use it to help friends and people in need.
