Does God exist? Or, is God simply the invention of the feeble human mind?

Based on the theory of first cause, God does exist. Nothing can create itself, it takes a higher power. Even physical process cannot come into existence by itself.
Read the Summa Theologica. Aquinas all but proved the existence of God.

God springs forth from the primitive limbic system of your brain, the last remnants of your reptillion past. The area where our raw emotions reside, including the irrational belief systems.

The 'religious' experience is triggered by deep depression, starvation, near death, or other highly charged situations. The 'born-again' christian phenomena has a scientific basis....yes, your limbic system. Why has man evolved this mechanism you might ask? Simple...it was a survival mechanism of our cave man ancestors to cope with a hostile and unknown universe.

The cerebral cortex is a more recent development. Here is where our rational and logical thought processes take place. It is here that the atheists have found their basis in reality.

In reality, there is no sentient, omnipresent, omnipotent supernatural being or force....therefore all the inequities and misery of the world will always persist, no matter how hard some try to get that limbic brain of ours to work...sorry

Theists, religious or not, have trouble imagining why anyone would not believe in at least some sort of god, preferably their own. When a belief occupies such a central place in a person’s life and even identity, this is understandable. The fact is, there are many reasons why atheists might not believe in any gods. Most atheists can cite multiple reasons and every atheist is different.

The human mind is not feeble.
There may be people that have different ideas about the creation of the universe. None of us were there when it happened.
Something had to be the initial cause of all that followed the creation. I may not be as sure of all the other attributes that the judeo/christian community attribute to God but it is self evident that since the big bang everything that has happened was due to something that preceded it.

Too me I believe in him but not to sure if he really does exist. He could be an invention of the human mind or maybe not. No one really knows.

Yes He does. Joseph Smith saw Him and his Son after a prayer about what church to join at the age of 14. I honestly believe that man was taught by angels for most of his life as God's prophet ushering in the last dispensation.

I feel like there's somebody watching me or feel that he is inside everyone's heart or maybe it could just be a belief, a bible is just a book, right? It's like a piece of artwork, god is in a painting, its all in the history.

But i do believe there is a god, i just don't believe in going to church to socialize, you can be watching him on tv..or reading the bible by yourself.

Everyone's has there own opinions and beliefs.

Of course he does. My feeble mind hasn't lifted me through crisis nor has it shared my joy. God has, though.

As a deist I believe there is a primary cause which I refer to as God. As a deist I also believe that this creator doesn't know or care that we exist.
