Have noticed a few 'people' are trying to get your personal info. Would you answer such a request? Here's a hint..the info they are asking for would allow them to access your bank account, credit cards, telephone..

Look at that will you? No sooner did I post this warning when they hit me too. Good for you people! Be aware that there are many others who don't know that this is so very dangerous.

The unfortunate part of this whole type of scam is...that people do still fall for them. Chances are, it will either be someone senior or someone very young. But these people do get results..which is why they continue to try their tricks. Saw this far too many times when I worked in crime prevention. So glad to see fellow P&S'ers are too savvy. Candy isn't the only out there tonight BTW. Thanks for your quick responses...now all I have to do is clean out my in box..LOL!

at first I thought candy Casey was just joking around...but a quick look at the profile and she's either a new user (with really bad timing) or of course a spam artist.

yeah, I get a lot of those e-mails saying I've won $ 5,780,600 and 38 cents (I guess they think the more precise the money sounds, the more realistic) from some far away country from a prince or king that I've never heard of.

they also put fake viruses up to have you purchase fake spy-wear protection, so you basically upload your PC information to them, while you download the useless junk.

it can get real ugly on the Internet if you don't have a IQ level of at least 90.

Hell yeah - usually via email -

In the last few months Ive have won the yahoo email lottery about 40 times - at least a million each time

I won the UK lottery at least 50 times- millions of pounds every time

I have been contacted by people searching for next of kin so that they can transfer millions to my account...

And bank agents in other countries trying to transfer funds to me and pay commissions...

I just laugh, they all go to the spam folder - people just got to be clever about this stuff.

Oh sure...me and a couple "friends" are willing to meet him in the alley behind the laundry mat at midnight. Ya know, ya can't give this information over the internet, it has to be in person...

Edit:

These people are scum. I'd love to run across one in a dark alley and beat their information out of them!

Nah-I gave some salesmen that info for a so-called good deal, & they turned out to rip me off, get into my account, & I had to change my bank card number!

I have noticed and just ignored it, I didn't think anyone would actually give that info and I hope nobody does. I can't believe that someone would even ask that stuff, how pathetic can one person be?

I'd never ever answer a request like that.

These people like Candy Kasey,
they are a joke, but they are really annoying!

Yes I would, but I wouldn't give them accurate info. I would make up a bunch of crap and make them waste their time trying to get nonexistent money! LOL,serves them right.
