ok so i was in the mall today and saw some strollers with oversized tires and a big tread and i asked why that was and they told me it was so you can go jogging with your baby.. is it just me or is this just a terrible idea, like what if your running and hit a side of the sidewalk that sticks up higher or something, idk though im only 20 but running with your baby just has catapult written all over.. i mean do what you want with your kid, but taking your baby off roading is just askin for trouble..

I didn't know they made strollers specifically for jogging mothers! I see people do it all the time, though. I take my kids to the track often with me, and bring the stroller, so I can take the little ones with me as I go around. It is actually more strenuous, and more excercise to push a stroller while jogging or walking. I don't see a problem with it. Most mothers use common sense, and I'm sure they wouldn't take their baby jogging down a trail or a road with a bunch of rocks or bumps that would cause discomfort for their baby, or a potential accident.

Many catapults are thought to have a spoon-like area in which the projectile is placed but more often than not a "sling" is used.

This may be the best method when an infant is concerned. The sling adds momentum & will give you maximum distance.

The use of a see-saw like device has been used in the past, the counter wieght must be heavier than the infant obviously but industrial springs might be ideal for a more modern & dependable device.

Trebuchet.com has a wide variety of devices to choose from as well as products/model kits to help in all of your catapulting needs.

Happy Hurling!

I have done it and you do not have problems..If you get a well belt one the tires will roll right over it..Some even have shocks like the modern day bikes...Its fine..kids love being outside anyways.

Look at the bright side, if you do trip and fall, the stroller will cushion the fall.

No kids eh. No. its a great idea. You get to excercise and the baby gets fresh air and a ride. Its your car that is dangerous

I don't think it's a bad idea.
My mom used to, she said
it would put me to sleep,
and would entertain me, and
she would get to work out (running)
while still being able to watch me.

I see really, nothing wrong with it.
