I think we all st some point take love for granted...not intentionally...but it happens. The little things someone did or does that we might have overlooked, the playful affection that doesn't get counted for as affection on our mental tally sheet. We think we will always have this person and their love .... and then one day they aren't there....and we miss all the small things that we hadn't taken the time to notice. When my hubby and I were first together and he was in the Marines, some of the little things he did were overlooked, or found to be annoying....and then one day he was deployed...and I found myself alone for 6 months wishing that he would walk through that door and sing his la la la song...and so I learned to appreciate him, his love, and the time we have together.
It is a tough lesson to learn sometimes, but, if you learn it....and it really hits your heart....you will find new value in your relationship.
I pray for a safe return for your love...Love him with all your heart...

How sweet. I use to take my love for granted as well....until my son's dad passed away during my pregnancy. That was a big wake up call for me. On that day, I realized that the world doesnt revolve around me, as much as I wanted it to. I guess it is just in human nature to take things for granted until you get to that point in your life where you realize, thats not right and that life can be, well is, so much better when you realize the value of love. Please remember asking this question when your husband comes home...dont ''get use'' to him again. Treat him as if every day is your last with him.

I took my boy friends love forgranted until we broke up. Then i realized how much he meant to me. Now that he is back in my life i will never let him go.
I also to my friendship with my old friend Justin for granted. I wish i could have stopped him from killing himself. I miss him and i wish i hadnt taken him for granted.
I wish that i hadnt taken my friendship with Chris for granted. In 6th grade this kid was best friends with me even when i would ignore him. He called me every night. Then the last day of school he moved. The calls stopped completly and i dont know how to contact him. I wish i had treated him better and kept in touch. I need him more now then ever.
Its true what they saw, you dont know how much someone means to you until they are gone. We all take what we have for granted until its gone. I wish your husband the best of luck and hope he returns to you safe. Good luck to the both of you. Love is the greatest gift to give and recieve. Remember there is nobody else in the world like him.

Same here! My husband is in Iraq, too. And we both have now realized we took each other for granted! But not anymore. Life is too precious and short.

I think so. But when I talk to other people about their relationships, I am happy to be in mine. I do love my husband and I would do anything for him!
Good luck with your love, I will pray that he gets home safely with all the others that are over there!
