Yes. It makes no sense to waste knowledge. If through stem cell research we can learn how to cure or prevent some of the worst diseases, and genetic problems, it's a good thing.

You didn't specify the source of the stem cells. From non-embryonic stem cell research, yes of course. It is possible to do stem cell research without killing an embryo.
It is only embryonic stem cell research that poses an ethical question. Is it okay to extract stem cells from an undeveloped human (resulting in its death) for medical experimentation? Even if the undeveloped human has no chance of ever developing? Is it okay to extract organs from a fully developed human donor (resulting in its death) for a transplant? Even if the person is terminally ill and will never recover? It's the same argument.

Yes, there really is no downside to stem cell research. Ethical reasons? No- they havent even reached their true form yet- they're like blank cells ready to grow into anything
They can mean the difference between someone walking again or spending the rest of their life in a wheelchair (can regrow missing spinal tissue)

Absolutely. Considering the stem cells do not come from actual babies..but from left over tissue (such as umbilical cords)..the things we have learned, the potential left untapped..could mean that someday..a person in a wheelchair will walk again..Parkinson's disease could disappear...who knows..maybe even I might some day be able to walk without falling down.

Definately. Why let anything go to waste? I am totally for stem cell research. One unborn thing could save so many people's lives.

This question is entierly a moral one, based in abortion. because the stem cells come only from aborted babies or fetus'. if you think a "fetus" is alive and a human then it is like killing off half the population so the other half could become twice as wealthy. If you believe that they are just "genetic material" then it would be a huge waste of this "natural resource" if we didn't research it and use any advances

For sure. You know, they have a bunch of them and instead of using them to try to find ways to keep people alive they are going to THROW THEM AWAY!!!! Does that make sense to anybody?

if someone needs a new kidney and they can grow one for you with your own DNA (stemcells are blank) then I don't see how we shouldn't support stemcell research
