Are you kiddin'?????

People who say that are usually using it as a passive-aggresive way to say any catty or mean thing they want and appear generous and loving. What a crock!

There are several variations of the same thing that people often use. Examples;

I mean you no harm, but your breath could kill a goat. They DO mean to tell you that you have bad breath and usually enjoy doing it. A southern version of this is used by adding "God love ya" or "Bless her heart" after whatever hateful gossipy thing they say. They think it takes the sting off the statement and makes them appear riteous and sympathetic when they say it.

Examples; That poor thing, she is SO very ugly, God love her... Or...... I know you didn't mean to really wear that skirt with that blouse, now didja, God love ya...

They put these kind little suffix phrases on the end of a real zinger to cover up the fact that the statement might just show them to be the hot steaming turds that they really are!

God love 'em.....

Blue Letter Bible - Lexicon 1) beginning, origin 2) the person or thing that commences, the first person or thing in a series, the leader 3) that by which anything begins to be, the origin, the active cause The understanding of 'origin' and 'active cause' in this word is where water comes bubbling out of the ground is the source, origin, cause of the river. The water is still part of of the river, and is not the creator of the river. Truly understanding english will help you to understand what John wrote at Rev 3:14. Even the NASB a very Trinitarian bible equates Rev 3:14 "beginning' with Prov. 8:22. The General is the leader, but he is still part of the army.

They could in fact mean it, but their twisted mind doesn't understand that what they do can hurt you mentally for many years. Imagine the bank robber that says that. The clerk will be haunted by the experience for a long time. Or the rapist as he violates his victim. In that situation, he actually is harming her by violating her.
