Garnett is a small forward or power forward, not center. I think your lineup of all centers would make more sense if it included Shaq, Duncan, Yao, Amare, and Dwight Howard. Ben Wallace doesn't score so it would be a huge disadvantage for the center squad, especially considering the centers will have a hard time scoring without a legitimate point guard to receive passes from. Your matchup doesn't mentioned whether it is a half court or a full court play. If you're talking about a full court 5 on 5 game then the guards should take this match easily because the centers would be too slow trying to keep up with the smaller and quicker guards. Fastbreak points should be guard team's bread and butter. However, if the game were to be played in a halfcourt setting then the big centers should be dominate with their size (height and weight) in smaller vicinity. This is how I perceive which guard / center will play at which position and why they are better suited than their teammates.
Center Team
PG - Amare Stoudemire (Playing for an athletic Phoenix team that is constantly running-and-gunning should of at least, taught Amare how to put the ball on the floor without running into trouble as often as the remaining centers)
SG - Yao Ming (The least mobile center on this squad but he does have range on this shot. He can bank an outside shot out to 20 feet and can be a poor man's Mehmet Okur)
SF - Tim Duncan (The big fundamental can do it all from driving, shooting from outside, posting up, and making the right pass which makes him flexible enough to handle the 3 spot)
PF - Dwight Howard (Baby Shaq has a post game with enough inside moves to give defenders nightmare. You put him alongside Shaq and you can forget about getting rebounds)
C - Shaquille O'Neal (The most dominant center within the last decade is one big body that will eat up so much space in the paint. When Daddy Shaq wants to run over players inside, there's no stopping him)
Guard Team
PG - Steve Nash (The 2-time MVP would be a liability to guard any center at any frontcourt position because he doesn't crash the boards enough nor play stellar defense)
SG - Gilbert Arenas (Agent Zero has more range on his shot than Wade (shoots more 3 pointers); he's shorter than Kobe; and he doesn't rebound as much as Kidd, which makes him the ideal shooting guard on this team)
SF - Dwyane Wade (Wade is 2 inch shorter than Kobe and averages less rebounds making him the ideal small foward candidate)
PF - Kobe Bryant (KB24 can rebound, post up, and gets the most boards out of the this bunch besides Kidd, making him an invaluable lowpost guard)
C - Jason Kidd (Kidd would man the 5 because he has the most uppper body strength and a stronger frame to bang with the big boys or else he wouldn't be getting triple doubles on a nightly basis. He doesn't really offer a shotblocking presence but neither one of the guards on the team have much of a prayer of blocking a center either)

The guards would win for what many are writing....too much quickness plus you have some old centers listed. Wallace, Duncan and Shaq are sloooowwwww. True, Kidd and Nash are older too but they still have knees. I think if you put a couple younger centers that handle the ball well like Bogut or that guy for the Grizzlies Okafur (?) or maybe the new guy Oden, and got rid of Shaq and Wallace, the big guys might win. Otherwise guards just toast them with speed and stamina.

Centers will win. They can play better defense and offense. Garnett, Amare and Wallace can also guard outside the perimeters. During offense, all Centers can post but not the guards.
With that kind of guard size, they'll probably need to double or tripple a Center to stop them from entering the D.

It's pretty close. It is a guaranteed 2 pts fr the centers every trip down the floor unless they just throw away the ball, but the guards can also make 3's. I would say guards though b/c after awhile the centers would get tired of chasing the guards. Go JK!!!!!!!!!!

Good question, I don't know.
It stands to reason that the big guys would sink on defense and just control the lane attempting to force the guards to shoot from 16 feet and out.
It also stands to reason that the big guys would dribble as little as possible bringing the ball up full court. The guards would probably run a full court trap in order to force turnovers which would be to their distinct advantage.
Hot outside shooting night ---> The guards win
Cold outside shooting ---> The centers win
I don't know if it is possible to pick a "Best Answer" for this question but it is an interesting question. I remember this clown tried to play me in NBA Live with 12 Wilt Chamberlains. I ran him to death and he got mad.

The big guys will win. They have Garnett to play point guard, he's comfortable with that, he sometimes acted as lead guard for the offense-stagnant T-Wolves.
And regarding the guards, who will guard Shaq in the post. Who will guard Duncan when he's posting up or shot his famous bankshot. Who shall box-out Amare & Wallace in getting the offensive rebounds.
Height is might.

that's a hard one cause the guards are quick and great ball handlers but the centers can dun and swat very well the guards would have a good chance if they stay out side and the centers would have a good chance if they keep the game down low

Team Center
PG-Tim Duncan
SG-Garnett
SF-Wallace
PF-Amare
C-Shaq
Note:When Timmy D first started playing basketball he was coached and trained as a PG but he kept growing. He was switched over to learn post moves and footwork. Besides the opposing PG is Nash who doesn't play defense.
Team Guard
PG-Nash
SG-Arenas
SF-Kidd (good rebounder and defender)
PF-Wade
C-Kobe (height & strength)
Ha! Shaq and Kobe are opposing Centers

Haha stable question. The guards actual through fact of the conditioning of the centers, they only isn't waiting to shoot, or shield the ball, no longer to show shop up with the guards! and because Kobe will drop like one hundred
