I never consider a day wasted. Each one is precious to me.

Here in California the days are sunny, however I stay inside most of them because with temperatures at 100 degrees and better, it's just too hot to really enjoy the outside. However, when the weather cools down, now that's a different story. I'll be out and about everyday.

I don't watch TV although I do listen to the radio and play CD's while doing things in the house. I love to bake and this is a hobby I practice often.

I do have appointments, however, I get them out of the way before the heat sets in for the day. I enjoy life and do the things that I consider of value.

Even though I am home sick from work, I still try to do stuff as I am able, but not today. It was just too beautiful in these Maryland mountains. I grabbed a glass of iced tea, a pillow, & headed for the gentle slope to the side yard. Parked myself down & watched clouds most of the day while my dog, Geeps, chased butterflies.
NO GUILT!

i may stay at home and hang around and do nothing, but it's a day I enjoyed...I have to go outside and garden,or paint something.and I love being able to do that...other days I'm either going to a meeting,or meeting a friend for shopping,or movie,or lunch.or volunteering at the senior center,or visiting a friend in the hospital or nursing home..or going to the gym,the mall,or visiting grandkids. I do something EVERY SINGLE day,so when I stay home and do NOTHING I deserve it!

Oh, yes. I confused my worth with my performance when I was younger. Stress, anxiety, sadness and loss of enjoyment was my reward for accomplishment.

Now, if I'm enjoying something (moral) I seize the moment with no quilt attached. I'm valuable because I AM.
Life IS soooooo short so enjoy and be thankful.

Never 'Guilty' I have a huge yellow T that reaches almost to my knees--I put it on and just go ho hum. I have spent the majority of my life working my hiney off and when I go to slo mo--I don't feel the least bit guilty for it. I earned what I choose not to do.

I have no idea what the word, "GUILT" means when it comes to my doing nothing...long gone are the days of guilt over doing nothing...If that is what I want to do, I do it....hell, dont' we all? There surely comes a time in life when we are free to spend our time as we want, regardless of what "needs" to be done. At my age, I have found that NOTHING needs to be done as much as I need to be done! Simple as that....call it selfish, but I am old enought to be selfish at times...hell, we all are. We have spent our lives for others...it is definately OUR turn..don't ya think!
