How to diffuse a bomb?

Is it:
red we're dead, blue we're through, yellow we're mellow? or is it :

blue we're goo, and yellow we're jello?

because if i ever need to diffuse a bomb, i would need to know! does anybody know what colour to cut?

If you are really interested, there are some books on the subject that are interesting to read and informative. For example, "Danger UXB" is an excellent book on bomb disposal during WWII in England (ISBN 0140058524). It was even made into a mini-series.

As far as wire color codes, don't count on them.

There is no rule of thumb. Each bomb is built differently, that's why you call for help. The red we're dead rhyme came from a movie. A really good bomb maker could even make a bomb that doesn't use any color. Then what do you do? Oh, wait, you die. Just leave it to the men in the blast suits. They go to a special school for a reason.

Think of the scenario when you are color blind.

Bomb deactivation that way is hollywood creativity. Bombs are not usually made following color codes and all. If you ever come across a bomb, try running as fast as possible, as long as possible.
