Maybe it's just me, but it always has this strange odor to it. The entire store. Why?

What you are smelling is a mixture of the chemicals in the highly flammable clothing they sell, the snack bar and the perfume of all the ladies who are in their late hundreds shopping there at any given moment.

All the KMarts in this area died years ago. Maybe that's what you smell, the smell of impending death.

I make a point of never going there. In my experience, if you smell cleaner in mass quantities, they're trying to hide something big.
