Put a fence around the tomatoes.

The best way I've found to deal with deer is to put moth balls around the plant (and around the edges of the garden, for that matter). Deer don't like the smell at all, but they won't harm the tomatoes or other vegetables. They'll also keep other animals away as a rule, and they have the virtue of being cheap!

Good luck!

There is a deer repellent called DEER OFF that works or she can buy a fertilizer called Milorganite which is organic and deer do not like the smell and stay away. Hope these help.

Hinder is another brand that is supposed to be good for keeping deer and rabbits out of the garden. I've heard of the hair remedy from many people. The deer around here run from my tomcat.

Easy :-) Use one egg white a clove of garlic an onion (cut)and tbsp chili powder with a gallon of water. Let it all sit in a bucket over night and strain the next day. You can use it in a spray bottle of pour it on. That is the same ingredients used in "deer off" which can be found at hardware stores. I use it all the time on all of my ornamentals/vegi's and it works! This will also work for rabbits and its all organic for those vegi's.
Happy gardening!

.Ask your local barber shop to save you a bag of swept up human hair. Hang bunches of it in mesh bags like onion bags from trees around the periphery. Ivory soap hung in the same fashion is said to do the same thing. They cant stand the smell and move on. Old farmers tale. Done in apple orchards as a deer deterent. I hope this helps.

Some crazy people on here will say to shoot the deer, but if you had a small dog, (terrier, daschund,) you won't have the problem. Our Jack Russell Terrier keeps rodents, snakes, etc. away also
