I have had my household goods in storage in OR for over 5 years and can't afford to get it moved to AR. I have spent thousands of dollars, because I can pay $100 a month, but not thousands at one time to move it to AR. Does anyone have any ideas? I can't get a loan. And if I did come up with some money, what would be the cheapest way to move it? Does anyone have some real facts to share? Thanks!

U pack is almost $4k, uhaul is about $1230-$1600 or more depending on season, then maybe $1500 for gas for about 1500 miles. Need to find a hauler that will move a large household for equal to me doing it myself in a 24 ft uhaul.

Look at U-Pack. The web address is www.upack.com
They drop a 28 foot semi, you load it, and they drive it, and you unload it. It is probably the cheapest way to get stuff long distance. You pay for the spaced used on the truck.

You can rent a u-haul truck for around $1K + gas + food/lodging and move it there yourself. Depends on how much stuff you have. You might be able to locate a trucker that is willing to haul it if he has empty space, but then he won't want to load/un-load it.
