Everyone is going to have different symptoms to their periode. But it seems you are having a lot of discomfort. So I would suggest going to your Gyno, he/she may be able to give you something to ease cramps, nausea, and heavy flow. This will probably help you gain your appetite as well. Also have you tried taking pain killers or modeol for your cramps ?

I would still go see your gyno, because it's possible they can put you on birth control that will help, but this is somewhat normal. Sometimes women just have horrible periods. I can't give you a medical explanation for this, but where I work, I've heard of this alot. How long does this last when you start? If it's only the first day or so, I would say it's normal.

Yes it could be normal for you. It was for me. I used to start taking Aleve a day or so before I started because I could feel the slight twinges of the cramps coming on. I also would sleep with a heating pad to relieve some of the cramping. A Dr. can prescribe a pain medication if they are that bad. I had prescription pain meds for my period for about a year.

It's perfectly normal; I get stuff like that when I get my period once in a while.
Just take some Midol, you'll be fine. Water and mints can help as well.

Yes this is normal. Try taking Mydol or Pamprin. These seem to help me. Drink lots of fluids, avoid salt and get pleanty of sleep when its that time for you. If it becomes too bothersome see a gyno. Here is a list of menstral symptoms:
Common symptoms include the following:
Mood-related ("affective") symptoms: depression, sadness, anxiety, anger, irritability, frequent and severe mood swings
Mental process ("cognitive") symptoms: decreased concentration, indecision
Pain: headache (e.g., menstrual migraine), breast tenderness, joint and muscle pain
Nervous system symptoms: insomnia (sleeplessness), hypersomnia (sleeping for abnormally long periods of time), anorexia (loss of appetite), food cravings, fatigue, lethargy, agitation, a change in sex drive, clumsiness, dizziness or vertigo, paresthesia (prickling or tingling sensation)
Gastrointestinal symptoms: nausea, diarrhea
Fluid and electrolyte symptoms: bloating, weight gain, oliguria (reduced urination)
Palpitations (rapid fluttering of the heart), sweating
Skin symptoms: acne, oily skin, greasy or dry hair

Yes this is normal. Some girls periods are just worst then the other. Just talk to your doctor about what you can do to make your periods less miserable.
