I try to call myself a Christain, however I am also bi and I wonder what to do here. The bible says to love your neighbor, however it also says that any act of homosexuality is a sin. So, technically, I was sinning when a boy from school asked me to dance and I accepted.

I rented the movie Saved and just got done watching it a few minutes ago. In the movie, the main character's boyfriend confesses his orientation to her. However, after finding gay porn under his bed, his parents send him off to a Christain rehab center for "de-gayification". I wonder if that would resemble my parents reaction. I haven't come out to them yet, however since they are both conservative christians i don't think I should at all.

Am I really a walking sin by being bi? I am told my many that "there is no such thing as a gay Christian", so who do I stick up my middle finger to: my pastor, or my boyfriend?

If you're Christian, first of all, don't flip anyone off!! lol and secondly, I'm a Christian too. There is nothing wrong with being gay. Everybody has different interests, and if your parents do something drastic, you deserve better parents. If they truly love you, they'll stand by whatever decision you make. But if your parents go psycho and force you to "de-gayify", then don't blame yourself, and say that you're a bad Christian. If there is such a restriction on a religion, it's not a religion worth being in.

OK well, provided your boyfriend is not telling you how to live your life, then in my view you stick your finger up at the pastor. Although I'm not condoning such actions...
The Bible says many things, and was written nearly 2000 years ago, so I personally think that it has no reflection on today's society. I don't see why you can't be a Christian and be gay/bi, I know for a fact that in the city I live in there are 3 groups for LGBT Christians to go to, and I am told they are quite well attended. I think provided you live your life as a law abiding, honest citizen, then the church has no right to condemn you for your attraction to men. There never has been and never will be a cure for being LGBT, and that's because it is not a disease, not an affliction, it just is what it is. Homosexuality should be the last thing Christians should worry about with all the terrorism, murder and rape that happens on a day to day basis.

I am also bi and catholic...i try to go to church every sunday and pray every night. i do not think that being bi or gay is a sin...i think that is a misinterpretation and slanted by individuals in the religion, not the religion itself

of course, because my religion and my mom are very much against homosexuality, it does create a conflict....i deal with it by knowing deep down that God loves me and that everything that happens in life is for a reason...men created bigotry - God created diversity

don't stick your middle finger up to anyone cept the haters

and saved is a hilarious movie, i love the crazy chick

i don’t know how to answer you? It’s hard Q, even if I’m straight person, I think you put it hard on your self! And you direct your intention in deferent direction.

I think the answer it’s in your mined and heart. You just need someone to agree with you, you may don’t know that, but why you care now, if you are Christian you already been taught that of course it’s sin, so if you come up with something like that, positive is ‘s a sin, but if you coming form family they are Christian and they will mined that, they should mined as well sex before marriage for their daughter! Coz also it’s sin,

What I don’t understand, why we are against some sin, but with the other not?, coz just the tradition is change? Is it all coz we are in different life, with more freedom? but why if it’s the fashion now, so Gays and lesbian Somehow now acceptable in our society, but you should know, are you going with fashion, is it really what you like, why? And what‘s the consequence, are you going to be happy if you chose either one, or you already choose? Dear, take responsibilities of your action, I don’t know how old you are, but you should know what do you want and that’s it,
By the way, if you really care, do you more care about God or your family or about you? Pls answer this, then I’m going to write for you depend on your answer, take it easy, I know you will take what’s right for you, no matter the others going to say, it’s your life, and it’s who you are,

If you're a Christian then you know that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. In Old Testament law it clearly states that homosexuality is a sin. There are gay Christians. However, being a Christian means to follow Christ and to follow Christ is to shed off the old self which is the sinful nature and be transformed by the spirit. If one is gay they can be saved, however, that one must stop practicing their homosexual lifestyle. Now, so I don't sound like a homophobe or a gay hater or whatever, I'll give you another example. If one sins by looking at porn, when that person becomes saved and they are transformed and renewed, that person must stop looking at porn. Sin is sin, regardless of the sin. If you look hard enough on line, you can find homosexuals that are saved and you can read their testimony. I hope this answered your question.

Well for starters do not stick the middle finger up to any one, even though that sounds like a good idea. But listen, were all humans there fore we all sin. When it gets to the point that we know right from wrong you should do what you feel is right. God is going to love you regardless of your status, he has unconditional love. But I'm not saying that being bi is ok. You can't just STOP being bi even t hough that would be a very good idea. You have to go step by step. Just every so often when your mind is drifting to lusting off of another male just simply pray, "LORD PLEASE REDIRECT MY THOUGHTS". Just slowly begin to think about those sexy gals that are out there. They can offer you alot more than a dude can. But until your true feelings change about guys your going to be that way because its hard to change who we really are. Just talk to GOD about it. He totally understand. Just tell him what's up and let him know where you want to be, and that is one day in heaven with him. Salaam. Have a blessed night.

I doubt that gays would be welcome. Christian religion is adamantly against homosexuality. I think that a gay person would be hard pressed to find acceptance. Why would anyone want to align themselves with an intolerant religion that does not abide by its own promises to love and accept all people regardless of sexuality?

Christians don't kick out sinners. A church is a hospital for the sinner, not a resort for saints.

You questioning if you are a sinner should provide you insight. Use the church to work past your sins and shortcomings. Your journey is between you and God.

I think you're born one way or the other. I don't think it's a choice. That being said, I really don't understand the 'bi' thing, unless you're still trying to find your true self.

I do believe that everyone has a place in the 'Christian scene', or the whatever religion you believe in. I really doubt that God is prejudiced and hateful, no matter what God you worship!
