Three days, then they go. I would actually get them a motel room if they were staying longer than 3 days. I enjoy my privacy. Glad to see you back, Baby Cakes. I've missed you this past weekend. :-)

They have never stayed with me. That's how they handle it...they always prefer a Hotel.

My MIL never stays with us...she has hooked up with my SIL's parents now and they always hit the casinos and travel etc...so life is a little too boring for her at my place so we hardly see her much anymore...suits me just fine and dandy really. I got real tired of having to entertain her whenever she did visit and would have to have my daughter sleep on the couch so she would have a place to sleep.

If she had established some kind of relationship with my kids or even baby sat them ONCE these past 15 years...I might have actually said she was a decent woman...but hey, she's got no use for us, and I've really got no use (or respect) for her, other than to not bad mouth her to hubby, I don't bring her name (or any of the in-laws) up in my household.

and all that jazz.

And I just make them an easy breakfast for them to feel at home and to feel that they feel cared.

Like making French Toast or Pancakes and just bring it up to our guest room.

Then we just have like a 3 hour talk about random things and try to get along with each other.

My in-laws have only stayed with once and the was for a brief period after we had our daughter all those years ago. There were no problems and the are good people.

I try very hard for it not to happen. They live close enough now that they can drive home in an hour. But before they moved here, they had to stay here for 6 weeks looking for a house to buy.
IT WAS AWFUL! I dreaded coming home from work every day and seeing their truck in my driveway. I never want to go thru that again.

My in laws are like my parents because they take care of me and love me as much as my parents do.

When they come over to my house.

They don't make a big deal and all that jazz.

And I just make them an easy breakfast for them to feel at home and to feel that they feel cared.

Like making French Toast or Pancakes and just bring it up to our guest room.

Then we just have like a 3 hour talk about random things and try to get along with each other.

Im used to having people always in my house. As for in laws I dont have any yet but Im sure Ill get along fine.

People make it out to be as if theyre monsters but come on some in laws are cool to be around. I hope I have down to earth in laws.
