That's awesome.
On one hand, you say Republicans are stupid.
Then right away, you say that we're smart enough to brainwash perfectly principled and mature adults.
Will you make your mind up already?

They said what people wanted to hear at the time. Now that the surge is working and support for the war has increased, I'm not making this up the NY Times is where I got that info, they're going along with the ride. Basically most of the Reps have stood their ground, and the Dems have riden the wave of popular opinion.
If the war goes bad, then they want to pull the troops out. If the war is going good they sit back, don't say a word, and do photo ops when the troops come back victorious.
Also, thumb me down all you want, it's still the truth.

Nope. Most of the seditious people, regardless of what party they are in, are stunned when the politician they voted for doesn't "clean out all the corruption and fix things!"
It's silly. They expect the outsider to know more about the situation than the insiders who have the best and most up-to-date information about the situation.
They get into office, see the real data, see how foolish their promises were, and then don't follow through because it WOULD BE STUPID TO DO SO!
Our representatives are good men and women trying to do what is best of our country. They are called flip-floppers for changing their minds, traitors for doing anything the party doesn't agree with (as if they should decide by poll), etc.
Political bigotry doesn't make for good politics.
It's no longer "cool", any more than "America-hating" is.

I think this is a very ignorant question, all the troops should be pulled out of Iraq. Send some of your family over there and see what it is like to live in fear that they won't come back

No, but they're not going to cut funding for the troops in the field either. That's exactly what the Repubdorks want.

Because maybe they wised up and realized that if we leave, millions of innocent men, women, and children who supported the United States will be killed. Do you want that much blood on your hands? Don't start talking about the war, unless you know the whole story. The liberal media doesn't report on the good we're doing over there.

The funding issue is coming up again in September. I think the fireworks will fly again, especially if the Sept. report is less than acceptable.

got to them, as in obstructing them, you mean. they are still working on it, but with the slim, slim majority that the dems have in the senate, it won't happen soon.
