I personally think smoking is more addictive, so therfore I think it's worse. But I don't drink or smoke so I wouldn't really know. What is your take on it?

i think alcohol is worse actually. It can be a lot more costly. when many popular drinks at a bar or club cost 7.00 and up. I have run up some pretty high bar tabs. Alcohol makes for a fun night out, yet can cause a fight to happen at any time. Nobody has ever got into a car crash because of smoking to much tobacco. Nor has a cop ever arrested anybody for smoking to much tobacco. Don't get me wrong I like drinking, but personally I would like to give it up. I spend to much of my money on alcohol, get drunk often on the weekend and usually drive home. I am not proud of this but I can't say that I won't do it again. I can probably count the number of ciggerettes I have smoked in my life on my hand. I guess they are addicting but not to me personally. Call me crazy but, I believe that Marijuana is actually less destructive to our society than Alcohol. I would like to give up alcohol but I don't think that I can, When i go out I feel that I can't have fun without drinking, I can't just not go out. Everyone at the bar pressures me to drink, Smoking may destroy your lungs but alcohol will destroy your life and your liver

I think smoking is worse just becuase there are no proven health benefits that I'm aware of. Some studies show drinking is okay in moderation. With smoking there is also second hand smoke. Both are not the greatest of habits so just don't do either and you are a winner!

I think that both are bad habits if they aren't controlled. People that smoke develop lung cancer and people that drink too much usually kill others by drinking and driving. I think that drinking is a little worse because smoking doesn't get people so drunk that they wanna get behind the wheel and kill someone else, but lung cancer is just as bad because it can take a good person away from a needy family.

I think drinking in moderation probably doesn't hurt anyone if they are responsible. Actually, there is evidence that a glass of red wine everyday is beneficial to your body. On the other hand, smoking, even in moderation is bad. It has been proven to cause heart disease, lung cancer, and other illnesses. Second-hand smoke may harm others also--especially those very young or old. My conclusion is that smoking is worse than drinking--that is if you drink in moderation and are a responsible drinker.

I think drinking in moderation is okay. It becomes dangerous when mixing drinking and driving, then moderation becomes questionable.

I can't think of anything good derived from smoking.

So, smoking is worse for the health and drinking and driving much more dangerous for the short term outlook.

I believe smoking is a worse habit, it smells bad, turns your teeth yellow, gives you lung cancer, and annoys the people around you. If you drink alchohol in moderation and you don't drink and drive I don't think there is a problem with it.
Smoking bad
Drinking better

Smoking annoys more people. Drinking is something a person can be responsible about-well,, smoking, too-but I have yet to see the considerate smoker who smokes in public.

Yes, there is the drunk driver-but that is really more in the category of 'survival'. So, I say smoking.

Drinking kills more people per year than smoking. I also think the tobacco industry is a scapegoat for big pollution. A friend of mine who is a medical student told me that in studying lungs in different cadavers, you could always tell the difference between somebody who lived in the city vs. somebody who lived in the country, because city-folk had significantly more lung damage. He said, however, that smokers & non-smokers were almost identical.

Also, if you were to be put in a room with 50 smokers -- all puffing away -- for 3 hours, you would smell bad, but you'd be fine. If the same person were in the same room with a running gas motor for 20 minutes, they'd be dead -- or best case scenario would be that they'd come out in a vegetative state.

Neither of them are good for you. Smoking can lead to cancer and extremely hazardous to non smokers also. Alcohol can lead to liver damage and also kill innocent people when drunk drivers decide to get behind the wheel. I can go on forever with the worse [at of both of these drugs.
