exactly. It could have been an accident, or he could be trying to evade the temptation of other girls (their temptation to be with him)
you see, girls dont seem to care so much nowadays if the guy is cute and he is "taken" they see it as a challenge.....but gay means, no chance in hell.
in any case, ask him about it, I would simply say: did you know that you accidently but your sexual orientation as GAY? and make it sound like a joke. See what he says.

Probably an accident, he's joking around or one of his buddies got his password and put that on his page. I would just jokingly say "I didn't know you were gay" and explain you looked at his myspace. Then see how he responds.

If you confront I hope you will confront gently. Boys pretend to be straight because they are afraid, and because society says they have to be. It is quite likely that his myspace page is honest, but if you hurt him about it he will just bury himself deeper and make it harder for the next girl to find out -- while if you treat the situation correctly you can actually help him come out - which is healthier for everyone.

sometimes myspace has problems where you can set your orientation, race, etc, to something but it says something else, mine said I was Pacific Islander for sometime even though I had it set to white/cuacasion
