anything by John Hughes. best movie: The Breakfast Club; which I'm SURE will appear in anyone's answer to your question, and if it doesn't, YOU CAN'T TRUST THAT ANSWER. if you've seen it, try Doom Generation or Nowhere. If you're looking for something a little fluffier, try Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (though it lacks drama), or Just One of the Guys, Teen Wolf, Heavenly Kid, Adventures in Babysitting, or Last American Virgin (none of which are as good as Fast Times or Breakfast Club)

ferris buellers day off, sixteen candles, pretty in pink, breakfast club, hold on....more coming........pump up the volume, heathers, tank girl, the lost boys, the outsiders, the goonies, cry baby, better off dead, private resort, porkys, jeesh, the list could go on.

some of these might be before and after the 80's but they are fun!
