I spend almost all of my time in R&S. There are some terribly unkind people there. In fact, there's nothing posted I'm remotely interested in tonight.
Please don't get upset; remember that on a public forum like this you can't help but find people who want to be as hateful and unhelpful as they can anonymously be.

No, but it's not like that's original. Half the questions people ask on Religion & Spirituality are an attempt to "mess with" people. After a while, it gets kind of old.

Yes, I agree its a zoo out there. Like you walked into fort Apache. But, I love going in there just to piss people off. It's so easy to get them all ruffled up. My god, they are so sensitive in there, aren't they?
I think most of us went into R&S initially because we believed that we could actually remove the ignorance and the bigotry of the R&S people with our simple and logical words. Unfortunately we never realized that these negative qualities are so deeply embedded, that it is impossible to pursue this ideal. So instead we ended up becoming disappointed and depressed ourselves.
My deffence? A good offence! Whenever you want a good laugh, go in there for a bit, piss them off, and watch the fireworks. And then disappear for a few days.
Do what Bugs Bunny would do!

Yeah, it's not for the faint of heart. I thought politics was brutal but religion and spirituality they're out for blood.

Yes they sure are! I posted a question in there some time ago about praying for a family member that was ill and got attacked on all sides! I never went back.

I only got there for fun and laughs, and ask silly questions. I think they know I'm joking and they either laugh as well or leave me alone.
I even coerced a few of them to play an avatar game!

Sorry to hear that, you don't really ever know what you will find there...I've only gone there to answer a few of your questions. And, that's why I don't go there...it can be tough enough without someone making you feel worse.

No, I used to spend almost all my time over there, until I went over to politics. They can be brutal in politics as well, but it doesn't get to me, unless I am personally attacked, and that rarely happens. I do get frustrated sometimes, though. *sm*

I stay away unless the spirits move me. Since I haven't had anything to drink in 3 months, I don't go there.
