But, how fast do you wanta go? If 45-50 mph top speed is OK with you then the Yamaha Vino will get up too 125 mpg if 105 mph top speed is what you want then the Kawasaki 250 Ninja will range between 55 to 75 mpg

My motorcycles:

1978 Honda Xl350 - 65 mpg
1986 Honda Nighthawk 450 - 55 mpg
1986? Kawasaki Police 1000 - 35 mpg
1985 Yamaha Virago 700 - 45 mpg

Much as I loved the police bike, it had to go. It burned gas so fast, and was so heavy, and it wore out its tires and chain in 5K miles.

38-55 mpg depending on driving habits and conditions. I own a 04 Kawi ZX-10 which get the lower end of the mpg because I like to twist the throttle and a 06 ZX-6 which pretty much stays in the upper end of the bracket.

My Ninja 250 would get 70 mpg at 70 mph. Top speed was 105. Was great at merging onto the freeway. It was the best performance /economy balance I've seen! My 650 Suzuki wasn't any faster and it got 50 mpg.

No. 6 is off a bit.
All my old Japanese bikes (360-650cc)got around 50mpg.
I never measured the 750.
My '06 HD Superglide got 49mpg as it came from the dealer!
Measured, highway and back roads combined.
Not anymore, it's less after I made some changes.

mileage varies radically from motorcycle to motorcycle. That said, current 600cc sportbike are in the 45 mpg range, 1000cc around 35mpg. 250cc motorcycle can get upwards of 80mpg, while big-displacement Japanese cruisers are around 40 mpg. Middleweight Japanese standards get anywhere from 45-65 mpg. Harleys are around 35mpg.
