The FBI will PREFER (someone who can use SpellCheck) an accounting degree and has already passed their CPA exam. The FBI, at one time, preferred only accounting degrees and people with law degrees. If you need more info, go to www.doj.gov. The FBI is a part of DOJ or Dept. of Justice.

It's been 10 years but the guy's I was assigned to help with some video stuff mentioned all the above. The Secret Service does credit cards and some bank fraud. The only reason I know this is the FBI was making fun of them as the case was theirs (SS) but they did not have the expertise to get the pictures needed. They might have a spook squad by now.

In spite of what you see on TV, the majority of cases the FBI deals with involve laundering of cash in order to clean it and make it look legal. These cases require an excellent understanding of accounting procedures, the world's banking system and tax laws. If you get a degree in accounting and then pass your CPA exam you'll be set.
Remember, Al Copone went to prison for tax evasion, not the hundreds or thousands of murders he was responsible for. The number one way we're fighting Al Queda right now is by shutting down their money sources.
