If your having them professionally done then avoid going to the cheap Chinese/Korean places. I'm not racist or anything it is just that they use techniques that destroy your nails and getting a fungus is not unheard of. If you decide to have them done understand that your nails wont be the same until they completely grow out, and you have cut off all the thin destroyed parts. Another thing to consider is the cost, it isn't cheap having fake nails. I also hated to eat with them. Anytime you eat something with your fingers or cook food gets trapped underneath and it is so gross to have to pick it out. Some foods will even stain under your nails. Like if you eat Doritos, your nails will be orange tinted underneath until you have them filled and she drills it out. I would recommend trying the ones from the store. They won't last as long and will still damage your nails a bit, but not near as bad. That way you can see if you like them. Another ouch factor is when you catch those new long nails on a door or they somehow get caught on something and pulled away from the nail bed. There is nothing more painful!!!

Don't do it at home, it never turns out as good than if you were to get it done somewhere. I personally am a nail biter so I used to get my nails done. They look good but after a week and a half u start to look at them and want to take them off. That plus every two weeks u need a fill. thats $20 every 2 weeks, depends on your location. Then after wearing them even for like a month, they leave ridged grooves in your nails. But nails are fun! Try them for a little but, then give ur natural nails a break. Good luck.

Well store-bought fake nails are easy to apply. And do not wreck yor nails. You can buy them at your local drugstore such as CVS. Target, Wegmens, And walmart have them too. But If you choose to buy the store bought nails, they do come off easily. I recomend getting them done at a salon. But please consider they shave down the tops of your nails. But they wont be like that forever. They do cost a lot of money but they are MUCH better quality. If you need nails for a special occasion for a couple of hours, i reccomend the storebought nails. But if you are getting them just to wear, i recomend the salon nails.

I would not apply them myself. They would look like you did, and the whole idea between fake nails is for them to look great. They do wreck your nails underneath. To keep them up, you have to keep buffing and adding fill. I have had fake nails for three years straight and they are gorgeous. I go to a great salon and have them done every two weeks for $18. I opted to have them shorter than most, and the corners rounded. Most people think they are mine. One of the bonuses of fake nails is that they are not poreous, and the colour stays on. Right now my favourite colour is Revlon "Get Ready". I get tons of compliments.

I've never used the press on kinds that you do yourself, friends have and say that they're great but they fall off alot.
I've had them professionally done by the asian women b/c apparently they are the best. They were alright. Hard to pick things up with and to type with. I'm not used to having nails so it was a big change. The hard part was getting them off, I just couldn't seem to pull them off and ended up going to a salon to have them professionally removed. I hurt too and afterwards my nails were very rough and brittle.
They really look great though.

theyr easy to aply urself. but if u want them to look good shape then to fit ur nail perfectly first. then after u apply then use a clear polish over then and file them down. they dont wreck ur nails. but the glue will remain onur bnails after u take them off. easy fix. use nailpolish remover

Yes they do wreck your real nails and once you get them the first time you'll have to keep getting them because you won't be able to do anything with your own nails. However they are really pretty and girly like but I am very girly and I never get them.

They're impossible for me to apply myself yet still look good. You can have them professionally done, but they definitely wreck your natural nails. They file the nail down, and when they come off you have big ridges in your natural nail.

I oftentimes do no longer advise them, I desire organic nails that are top dealt with at any length. in case you somewhat do in contrast to your very own organic nails regardless of the indisputable fact that, pretend nails are an decision, yet i does no longer stick to them for the 1st time suitable until eventually now you commute, purely in case there are any problems with them. i could do a attempt run at abode first, or save it for a definite occasion like a marriage first. as quickly as you recognize you haven't any longer have been given any issues for them, and understand how good they're for you, and how plenty maintenance you require, then you certainly can plan properly for once you pass on a visit.
