It's not like they EARNED the name through great morality. They dubbed themselves the Moral Majority as a PR/Marketing ploy, knowing that the exceeding shallow-minded would swallow their self-characterization without looking into whether it had any merit.
It's like the blowhard/loser who dubs himself the "Studmeister." Anyone who needs to give themselves a self-aggrandizing moniker is probably lacking and trying to overcompensate.

Enough with the republicans pointing to Bill Clinton's "immoral" behavior.
Dems maybe just as bad a s the conservatives, but at least they don't go around beating their bible and putting down "sinners" while leading a double life doing PRECISELY what they preach against.
We're not saying dems are perfect, we're just saying stop pretending like you're so rightous when you're breaking all the ten commandments and a few new ones for good measure.
It's the HYPOCRICY that bothers the American people more than the "immoral" act itself.
Great question; I'm giving you a star.

I vote Republican because I'm conservative and could care less about being a part of the 'moral majority'. Albeit, we've certainly veered away from being conservative, but I'm hoping that this party will go back on track.
The Democrats with their constant pandering and future 'plans' are certainly not my idea of conservatism.
Smaller government, hopefully less personal interference and NO more taxes.

That was a Monicer hung on the Group Many years ago. And it was not just Republicans. It was many Democrats who considered themselves in the "Moral Majoity".
Sorry, I do not brand an entire group of people for the actions of the few.
There are idiot Reps. and Idiot Dems. Lets not generalize. It just makes folks look weak minded.

One thing about it, when corruption is found with Republicans, we come right out and acknowledge it, we don't hide it like most Libs do!
Secondly, Corruption within the Republican party is isolated and incidental, as opposed to the Democratic party which is endemic, loads of corruption within party lines, too numerous to list on this page.
Our base does not reflect the general isolation of corruption even if there is some corruption.
We are the Majority on grounds that confront the fact that Life is special in all its various forms and differences, and for most part that our Core principles are on the lines of decency and respect essential to family, and the upbringing of the next generation in hope of a future without violence.
You see, you cannot accept a wide array of cultures, because it simply will not work, because this country was started one way, and one way only, our Foundation which rests on the hope and faith that only Jesus Christ can give.
Without God all else fails.
Immigration is one of the greatest threats to our democracy today, due to the many facets of differing cultures, and mainly for the threat of Islam in the world, we must reduce Immigration to levels that will allow America to stabilize and prosper the way we did in the era of our Great and honorable President Reagan.
God bless!!

Do you already know you have argued against your self. you have perplexed words with issues. For if the there is purely X and Y (ethical Majority and an non-ethical Minority) then all you have mentioned is the names of X belong to Y and Y to X, meaning you're arguing for a ethical Majority your self. it is laughably illogical of you.
