I have a betta that I have had for approximently 8 months. In my spare time I try to figure out ways to teach it the following tricks.

The loop where it swims in a loop
The dolphin jump
and The switch where there are two tanks tanks next to each other and the fish jumps back and forth from each one.
Please tell me how to teach my fish with out scaring or frustrating it.

Sorry, the minds of the betta fish cannot comprehend that. They can however be trained to swim through hoops, if food was put on the before.

I daresay the betta doesn't have enough brain to be frustrated, but I can virtually guarantee that if you attempt to teach a fish to do tricks--you will be.
I suspect that the most you can hope for is that he'll come to the surface when you tap on his bowl and he might even eat from your hand.
BTW, if you persist in trying to teach the fish tricks, don't punish him for failing. :)
