I remember my big bro told me that if I ate a seed they would grow inside me -- I was 5 years old and I believed him. It freaked me out. Took me a while to get over it. lol

No, I don't eat them,but i'll tell you something
try to wash the seeds with water
Then roast them,,,,
then eat the inside of the seeds.......... yummy ..........

sorry, i forgot to say........ before roasting the seeds,spread them on a sheet of paper and let them dry for a day

Don't worry. Nothing is going to happen. It will come out after 4 to 8 hours. The acids and chemicals produced in the stomach will make it disappear in your stomach. In India people are eating the seeds of raw yellow pumpkin. Sometimes by accident the seed goes to the stomach even without chewed. So far no body got an yellow pumpkin from their tummy.

Ha ha I remember when I was little and I thought my dad was growing a watermelon inside of him because he had a big round belly and he used to eat the seeds. :)
Yes I eat the seeds. I'm too lazy to take them out. My mom, however, takes ALL of the seeds out of the entire watermelon. I don't know why seh doesn't just buy the seedless one. hmm....

I heard the same about them growing in my stomach until I learned about the acid in my stomach that would eat them up. I prefer to only eat the watermelon. Eating seeds in a way disgusts me in breaking that sweet taste and pace.

The black watermelon seeds you do not eat. They do make a seedless watermelon with small white seeds and those you can eat..and no you are not gonna grow a watermelon in your stomach.

They wont grow inside you...first of all there is acid in your stomach which will burn up the seed plus there is no sunlight inside of you, you can eat the seeds as long as they're white/beige ones but if they're black dont eat em cause you can get a stomach ache

I heard the same thing you did. And just in case it may or may not happen, I still choose to not eat the watermelon seed. Better safe than sorry. lol.

The seeds wont hert you, but they are sometimes hard to swallow. I would advise you to just eat your watermelon like normal and if you come apon a seed, just take it out and put it on your plate.
