get away the destiny, Saosin, Senses Fail, Underoath, Protest the Hero, and From Autumn To Ashes are actually not emo or screamo, they're pop rock, learn the version, and All Time Low, Ever street, constantly The Sickest infants, and Sparks The Rescue are actually not pop punk, they're pop rock, there's a distinction between the two. Edit: Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, and Cradle of dirt are actually not emo, screamo, not basic rock, acoustic, pop punk, or pop rock. Edit: All Time Low does not have punk roots, they're pop, their roots are pop, and no remember if or not there is screaming does not recommend that it won't be able to be pop. Screaming is purely yet another vocal styling, like rapping or opera making a music, a music can nonetheless be pop while there is rapping in it. additionally, I meant to assert the mentioned screamo artists have been metalcore, metalcore is hardcore with steel roots.

Not really too hard. These bands have huge and still growing fanbases. Most people consider classic rock to be the best (and often only) good rock ever (those saying only good rock are close-minded people).
Other great classic rock bands include The Beatles, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Metallica (technically, they were popular during the era), Guns N' Roses, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, and The Scorpions.

I just got into Lynyrd Skynyrd, too. This is from Wikipedia:
Original lineup (albums):
1973 - (pronounced 'lĕh-'nérd 'skin-'nérd) (MCA)
1974 - Second Helping (MCA)
1975 - Nuthin' Fancy (MCA)
1976 - Gimme Back My Bullets (MCA)
1977 - Street Survivors (MCA)
Check out the link. I had no idea about this band's history. It's worth reading.

It's very hard to get into club Led Zeppelin. They make you stand in a long line, you gotta look a certain way and the cover charge is brutal. Seriously, just buy Led Zeppelin I and listen to it, how hard can that be? Also, it's not required that you go back in history and listen to everything to be versed in rock. You can learn a lot just by listening to a standard classic rock station.

Start with this album:
Led Zeppelin - Remasters {2CD}
It's a 'best of' collection.
If you like what's on there, you'll soon find yourself buying all their albums.
That's the one I started with, and within a few months I had almost every studio album:
Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin II
Led Zeppelin III
IV {also known as 'Runes' , 'Symbols', 'Zozo'}
Houses of the Holy
Physical Graffiti
Presence
In Through the Out Door
The best of their Live albums are:
How The West Was Won
BBC Sessions.
