Ah, sweet mystery of life... how to fix a Microsoft product?
Sorry...
No wait, I remember this...
There's something in the settings about messages that are over a certain size and messages that could potentially contain viruses... It's all a bit doom and gloom. You need to go into Tools and Options and find the bit about 'potential viruses' and uncheck (untick) the box...
I knew there was more...
Any AV product you buy should integrate with OE and do all the AV scanning for you.
You may also wish to see that OE is using the same settings as IE when it connects to get mail. If it is not, then you'll not get any mail.
If you click on the "Send/Receive" button at the top, a window should open and it will tell you what OE is doing. Once it completes, you have to close the window but there are two tabs TASKS and ERRORS. Click on the ERRORS tab to find out what went wrong...
If you have AV (such as Norton) installed, it may not have integrated properly with OE and you may need to run the AV wizard again...

The yellow triangle is presented to warn you that an error has occured but disabling virus protection or detection is NOT the answer. In that box in which the triangle appears there should be some sort of error message. The next time it happens, you should see the error box and there should be two Tabs in it - Tasks and Errors. Click the Errors Tab and write down the Error number/code (usually located at the very end of the error listing). Then you can do a search on that error code or post the error code as extra information in your question here, or check to see if it is listed on this webpage if you are handy with computers.

See if you can use System Restore to take your pc back to before the problem manifested itself.
Click on Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
Select a date a day or two before the email problem occurred and click on "restore my computer to an earlier time". Then click on apply/okay and let the pc restore itself.
This should correct your problem.
Hope this helps.

Avoid OE, cause it is buggy and hacker dangerous.
Try Opera with mail client /you can import your adress book from Outlook/. It is user-friendly and secure.
Opera is fastest and most secure browser /check comparison on www.secunia.com/ with very useful widgets /torrent etc./
It can be downloaded from www.opera.com
