but i have had plenty of guys like me

i end up liking a guy A LOT. and i flirt with him and imagine us going out or what not. but then when he starts to like me i suddenly am so unattractive to him. i refuse to talk to him because it makes me uncomfortable =/
what is the matter with me?

i do not think i can help you, but you need to give the guys a chance.
it sounds to me that you like a guy whom you cannot have, and when he starts to like you, you lose interest because it's not as 'fun' anymore.
all i can suggest is that you try having a relationship with a guy you like. if you're repulsed by his bad habits then it's fine, but if you're losing interest try doing things that would be fun for the two of you. maybe you'll grow to like him.

This could be a confidence problem on your part. Unfortunately, a lot of women feel that "well, if he likes ME, then he must be a loser.
Or it coul just be that when faced with the reality of a teen aged boy, it simply does not add up to the fantasy. Give it time. The best way to fall in love is to have a friend that you like and admire, who likes similar things, and then realize that "hey! I really like this guy as MORE than just a friend". That way, the reality won't burst your bubble.
