hi! i'm attaching an additional stud to an existing stud in my bathroom. is it ok to use exterior screws to attach it?

yes any screws of the right lenth will do it... and they are better anyways

Sure -but make it easy on yourself. Assuming you are bonding the 2" edge of one to the 2" edge of the other, drill a hole about half way through the edge, big enough to accept the width of the head of the screw you'll be using. Now you can use a shorter screw.

Also, apply construction adhesive you you get a nice seal all the way. Just a thin bead will do, right down the center. As you draw up on the screws, it will squeeze out the sides a bit, telling you you're "home."

This would be up to you, I don't know why you'd want to do this though.
