well i'm 17 and i've done everything the court has asked of me. i've got clean UA tests, i get straight a's, i had a job but just recently quit because everyone there was a meth user (gross), i've done all my community service, paid all my fines (with my money not my parents), and i haven't got in trouble with the law for a year. (it was a huge mistake getting in trouble in the first place) any ways i've done EVERYTHING they ask of me yet they won't let me off probation. now they just have me sign in everyweek and i've had a court date pop up today...which usually is an indication that i'm getting arrested for what ever reason they pulled out of their *** this time. (they just don't want to let me off) so really WTF do i do?! i even went to AA for three damn months even though i don't have a problem with drugs...and did some stupid *** counseling

The scariest type of offenders are the offenders who don't take responsibility for their actions. They "act" like they are better than everyone around them and say they only messed up once, and got caught, but learned from their actions, so they are now perfect.

I'm not saying you are like that. You may be the most upfront, perfect kid in the world right now. But, you are being profiled like all the other kids that are acting perfect while on probation.

Hang in there. If you are doing nothing wrong, you'll get off of probation. You can't stay on probation forever. Go to your court date. Take your grade and attendance records from school. Take the results of your drug tests. Take the recommendation from your counselor. Hopefully, the judge will see the effort you are putting into this and you'll get off.

Take a deep breath. I know it's rough for you right now. Hopefully your court date is just to get off of probation. This may turn out to be your best week ever. Good luck and God Bless.

Every probation I have ever heard of lasts until the court says it ends. This date is usually specified in advance, subject to not getting in more trouble. If a court date usually means you are getting arrested again, you OBVIOUSLY have NOT done everything they asked, aka not gotten in trouble. Tell your story to the judge. They are the only one that can do anything even if the Probation Officer is wrong.

usually if you show the judge that you have done everything cooperatively they will let you go. Law Enforcement agents don't usually pull **** out of their ***...they can't. They always need to show some type of proof of what you did in order to get you in trouble for it. Many people do things and get off because the officer didn't do everything they were suppose to. If you did what you were suppose to, then tell the judge, maybe show him the proof(it will help a lot more) and that's about all you can do.

Well, clearly the counseling hasn't helped, and it doesn't look like you've learned your lesson, either, judging by the attitude you got here.

The answer is, simply, yes. The probation department can keep you on probation until they feel that you don't need to be on probation anymore, and if you have an attitude about how you're being treated (uh, like a criminal?), then they probably want to keep you there just so they can keep an eye on you.

Maybe try being a little more humble. It works. Other than that, there really is nothing else you can do, unless you want to go to jail.
