Why does my husband walk into the room I am in, fart and walk out??!!!???? Men, PLEASE advise!!!

I usually plug my nose and scream, I ask him about it all the time and he just giggles and says "I cant help it, they need to come out!!" then eh says ok, Il ltry not to...and 5 min later he farts. Ill admit its funny sometimes, he also tries to smell his own farts....its gross if he farts in bed he puts his head under the covers to "see if it was a good one"

Sounds like he is just rude. There is no reasonable explanation for you. I have done it in front of women before but all by mistake. I can think of a lot of other things to do with my wife instead of farting in the same room.

Because he is a guy. I am not a guy but I have 3 brothers, a dad, hubby, 2 sons, etc. For some reason they think that this is hilarious. It's like they take pride in how big they can fart. It's gross to us women, but they really get a kick out of it.

Two reasons. One is because the thinks it's funny. Two, because you tolerate it. If you really want to make make him stop, tell him and be serious about it. If you laugh every time or even some of the time he does it, you are positively reinforcing his crude behavior. If you really want him to stop, you have that power. If he asks what you're going to do about it, tell it's not what you're going to do to him, rather it's what you're *NOT* going to do for him. He'll have to decide just how badly he wants to continue being a "fart terrorist" vs. being celibate.

He does it because he thinks it's funny. Men don't take farting as seriously as women do. My boyfriend does the same thing and he calls it spreading the love. Ewww Lol God Bless

Bodily functions just seem to amaze and fascinate men. My present husband doesn't do this, but my ex did. I thought it was gross. My current husband would probably do it too,(and might do it now around his male friends) but he knows I would not see the humor in it. I think your husband needs to learn some manners.

my husband does this too!! omg. and boy were they rancid. i mean "kill all living vegetation" rancid. you know what worked? stop reacting to it. he's not doing because he wants to smell it, he's doing it for the raction to it. do you scream at him in a girly fashion, throw a pillow at him, yell, scream out "gross!!" ? stop doing that. if it smells, walk out of the room or always keep air freshner around you. or keep a scented candle always lit. don't make a noise about it. pretend you didn't even notice.
i stopped reacting, my husband stopped farting.

Lol he probabyl just thinks that it is funny even though it may not be to you. Guys sense of humor is a little more disgusting and obnoxious that womens so I guess tell him you don't like it or bare with it.
