It has been speculated that China will soon have a national cricket team:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/cricket/3419585.stm
From the current trends they have the chance to be the best. Heres one explanation: Cricket is played with a hard ball, and it really hurts. West Indies were the the champs of the yesteryears. This is becuase they were bowling real fast. However, on the flip side they had a disadvantage. They had large reproductive organs, so when the other cricket teams like Pakistan or Australia also started bowling fast it really hurt them bad..both batsman and bowlers. Now the Chinese are industrious plus have the advantage of having small reproductive organs. Hence, they will be exposed to less pain when the hard ball hits them in the groin. Thus by this logic they can become world champions. Would you all agree to this point of view? In case any of you have other intresing hypotheis I would be obliged if you could mention them here.
Thanks

It takes time buddy. No doubt if china takes up "seriously" they can challange the very best, but cricket is not China's cup of tea isn't it?

1. Pakistan maybe T20 champions, but that has no bearing whatsoever in club cricket. Sialkot maybe champions in Pakistan 5 times in a row, that just shows that other teams are not good enough. 2. I too wonder why there is no umpire from Pakistan. But why are crying about it? It's a club league and not an international tournament. And the organizers will decide who should officiate the match. 3.Have you ever came across UEFA Champions League? It has upto 4 teams from a country. Champions is a word just to show that the best teams are taking part in it. And mind you, one bad performance may have denied a good team the championship (eg. Delhi Daredevils in IPL) And you are proving once again that some grapes are still sour.

While China will emerge a strong team faster as compared to other minows, it will take some years for them to become
a force to reckon in international cricket.

It’s a joke. Isn’t it? They cannot play cricket. They are Chinese. Their eyes are not large enough to see the ball.
