Gore won the popular vote. Some didn't want to vote for Gore because of the flap with Clinton and Lewinski. Of course, Gore had nothing to do with that but guilt by association was strong in some minds. I hope they have seen the error of their ways and repent for what they have done.

Gore actually got more votes but because we have the electoral college Bush won. Bush won more states. Sorry, but aren't you just a little behind the times.

The majority of the people voted for Gore according to the votes that were counted. (They are still finding some Democratic votes floating off shore in Florida).
Bush was put in as president by the Republican Supreme court. Where have you been; out of the country where they have no newspapers?

All of these lemmings answering this question praising the intelligence of W. Bush vs. Al Gore. Where have you people been for the last seven years? Or are you as stubborn and devoid of contact with reality as YOUR fearless leader, the Nitwit in Our White House?

He didn't. 2000 was stolen by the Republicans in a non military coup. Anyone mindful of the coronation by the USSC Republican Justices would hardly call 2000 an election. I wonder why Gore did not fight this.
Gore won, pure and simple.

More people voted for Gore. But the electoral college didn't see it the same way.

i think of Bush grow to be top. there have been no terrorists in Haiti to deliver troops in for. there have been lots of terrorists (including Saddam Hussein) in Iraq, so he grow to be top in sending troops there after united statesa. lost 3000 human beings 9/11 by ability of terrorists. He even have been given permission from Hillary and bill, and a brilliant form of different Democrats in the previous taking action. Barack Obama did no longer in sending troops to Afghanistan orEgypt. i assume we'd call Obama a liar too then as he grow to be against gay marraige 4 years in the past, yet now has proclaimed it their top. He pronounced he might sign no bill if it had earmarks with it, yet he's signed maximum of with earmarks i won't be able to count extensive form them. He pronounced he might 'unite' human beings yet we are further aside and divided now than ever in the previous. He pronounced his admin- istration could be sparkling, yet they're consistently having secret conferences that exclude Republicans. He pronounced he grow to be born in Hawaii, yet.......nicely, the jury continues to be out in this one.

they did a recount of the votes in Florida, and Rove called Fox News to report that Bush had won before the count was finished.
Florida... you know, the state where Bushie's brother is governor?

Bush won the electoral college. Do you know NOTHING about American politics? Every single recount still had Bush winning Florida. Gore was the one who tried to steal it by not counting all the votes...this is fact. Gore only wanted to recount certain counties...and he did not want to count Florida GI votes.
Beyond that, yeah, an incument candidate of a very popular president? You're right, just how did Al Gore manage to throw it all away? And the only answer to that question is, he's Al Gore, that's how.
Then the Democrats went and nominated an even bigger loser in Kerry. Sheesh, two easy chances to beat a weak Republican, and they blew it. Yeah, I can see why Democrats are so upset.

A former boss told me that at the time of debates at that time. Gore was very timid in his speech and Busch was very decisive and assertive. I noticed that too when I watched that debate. That could made a difference.
