www.bridgebase.com also known as BBO. This is one of the finest bridge sites anywhere and they have excellent software to teach you the game. The software is downloadable so you don't have to be online.

A few suggestions:

1. Read a bridge book
2. Sign into the beginners' lounge on Yahoo Bridge and play some hands
3. Check out http://www.rpbridge.net/7g13.htm for some bidding conventions

At www.acbl.org they have free downloadable teaching software. It is the website of the American Contract Bridge League.
