They get all this crap info on TV and the internet and spread it around without sitting down and thinking. For example:

Moon landing hoax: How could the govt fool 400,000 people that worked on Apollo for 11 years that 6 moon landing simulations over 3 years were real?

Govt brings down the World Trade Center: If it wasn’t hijacked United and American airliners that did it, don’t these people wonder why when watching the videos of 9/11, all the hundreds of personnel working for those airlines weren’t screaming “we didn’t lose any airliners that day”.

Mars appearing as big as the Moon: Doesn’t this one get you? If people thought for a just a minute, such a scenario would be huge for Earth’s tides, and it would be all over the daily newspapers.

More:

World ending in 2012: God this one is real stupid. With all our modern technology, our forecasters can’t get the weather correct for 3 days in the future. So, do people really think that a primitive society like the Mayans (jeez, they never even invented the wheel) could predict the end of the world hundreds of years in the future.

Are there ones I have not mentioned that really get intelligent people steamed up?

I'm not worried about the kids not thinking (peoples frontal lobes...aka reasoning...don't finish forming until they are around 24-28 years old)
Its the adults that concern me.

These adults also believe in a fairy tale called the bible.
and have for 1000s of years

Picking a couple of nits, here:

The Mayans were well aware of the wheel. It is simply useless where their empire was. They just chose to use other technology, is all.

The big calendar on the rock doesn't "predict" the end of the world at all, and Mayan culture never said it did. They just ran out of room on the rock face to carve more calendar, is all.

You sir, make me very angry. Why is it that you say that KIDS aren't thinking. All the kids I know (I'm 13) Laugh when people talk about things like that. It's not kids who spread things around most of the time. It's adults.

Nope. I think you have it all.

But actually some kids do think. I'm a teenager, and I don't believe in any of that junk. Sadly, though, most kids have lost their brains to modern culture, which worships beauty and nothing more.

Don't forget about evolution deniers! That's the one that bothers me the most, especially since the school boards are full of them down here in the south.
