I know I'm pushing it going without check ups and stuff but I thought I would have gotten alot farther then I have by now. So I tried the Calculator thing for an "about how far along are you?" thing and it says 15 weeks, 3 days!! Io'm kinda gettin scared because I haven't been to the doctor yet.. I scheduled because I NEED to go but the only time they can see me is Wednesday but they said I need a 'proof of pregnancy' first.. the only place i thought of for that was planned parenthood due to the fact I dont have a doctor or insurance to go to one yet. I dont want my irresponsibilities to lead to an unhealthy child so whats my best option?? I doubt I'm going to make my Wed. appointment.

What kind of doctor needs a proof of pregnancy? Weird. I'm sure there are free clinics in your city. If you want to leave the city name, I'll locate them for you and post them.

Okay, honey....call this # 1-866-588-5696. It's a help line in NJ that locates payment assistance for those who need medical care and can't afford it. Also, register for help at social services and get a worker who can point you towards other venues. You'll want to make sure that baby has some sort of coverage. Best of luck to you and your baby!

They can't turn you away because you don't have a proof of pregnancy. That's where you get the proof of pregnancy is at the doctor! As far as insurance, some states will provide help for those who don't have coverage. In my state (Michigan) it's required to have health coverage when you are pregnant so if you apply for assistance you automatically get help paying the bill. Check into programs like that and see what you state has to offer. I didn't have to pay any money for my pregnancy because the state helped me. You need to see a doctor! You should've had your first checkup at 10 weeks along and had your blood work already. Try to get ahold of some prenatal vitamins or a multi-vitamin. Start taking them and get to the doctor ASAP!

Contact the medicaid office in your area. You should be eligible to receive insurance immediately b/c you are pregnant. If you need proof of pregnancy take a trip to the ER or planned parenthood. There should be other clinics in your area that will provide you with a free test and the proof you need. Hope everything goes well. God bless you!

What you need to do is go to one of those public health departments in your community. If you're not working just have a letter from your parents, or your boyfriend saying that they support you and they give you like $100 dollars a month for what ever you need. Go there and ask for family planning. They won't charge anything, it's going to be free and they will help you with what ever you need even after the baby is born. Let me know if you want an idea of how the letter should be. and I can let you know how to write it. Don't worry, there always a way. People close doors in our lives but God always leaves a window open, and your baby will be fine.

GIRL, DONT WORRY! many women have children w/o insurance. since you dont have insurance i imagine it might be b/c you dont have a whole lot of money and well, once you do have a baby "public aid" or "wel-fare" will be able to help you with food and decent healthcare for when your child is born. Anyway, search for a clinic in you area and there, thay can give you a pregnancy test and also tell where to go for prenatal care and all that good stuff. relax and ask questions all the time, it will help you. sidenote: if you go on "wel-fare" or whatever you might now it as, dont stay on it forever, plz. get ur **** together and get off that asap! good luck!

First off, congrats :)

A lot of states have medicade and medicare (I always get the two confused) and they will cover you if you are pregnant. My cousin doesn't have insurance, but everytime she gets pregnant she goes back on medicare. And I believe that public assistance goes back 90 day retroactively, so if you do go to your doctor it would be covered. Good luck

You can also get a home pregnancy test at the dollar store, it is just as reliable as the ones that cost $10.

you should try Planned Parenthood. You can take the pregnancy test there and they should give you the info for goverment assistance (medicaid or whatever)

Check with the city's health dept as well to see if they offer a free Women's Health clinic that might be able to help you.

Talk to th dr. They will direct you to a Medicaid office to try and get covered, or they will know of other ways to assist you or where you can get medical coverage.

try Medicaid. They will help you out if you don't have insurance or don't have money for it at the time.
